Crossfit for Hope - Need donations!
Going to be participating in Crossfit for Hope on June 23rd at my local box. All donations go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Woot-Woot! It was good to be back at CrossFit today! Had some medical stuff going on and the box was closed for Memorial Day, so you know, I was having withdrawals.

I know I'm addicted to Crossfit...
Because I got so dang excited about a rep from RX Jump Ropes coming to our box tonight to sell and fit jump ropes. LOL, yep, I was literally jumping up and down in excitement of buying a jump rope. What can I say? The Kool-Aid has been drunk and I’m getting an awesome rope to practice getting double unders down.
The question is… should I go for girly pink camo? or misFit mango?

Memorial Day Murph

I’m actually excited for tomorrow’s WOD after today! For our strength section we practiced the moves for the Bear Complex which will be what we do tomorrow. So it's been a full month...
Looking back now, this quote was so, so true for me a month ago.
So today I want to take a few minutes to share what’s in my heart about Crossfit and how it’s changed me. Today ended my first full month at my local box and I’m amazed at how different I feel mentally and physically. My hubby, family & friends are amazed at the changes too.

So today I did 2 new lifts and that was exciting for me. I know that with the lifts lately I can go with more weight, but the coaches really want me to perfect my form before moving up, so they put on enough weight for you to feel it, but not so much that you can’t concentrate on your form.

Paleo No-cheat Chocolate Donuts/Brownies
LOVE this recipe! I’ve made it several times, but haven’t posted here yet. It’s definitely got a banana flavor, so if you don’t like chocolate & banana flavors together then you’ll want to skip this.
Also, I prefer using coconut oil as it’s a great fat to include in your diet and my fav cooking chocolate is Ghiradelli unsweetened all natural cocoa.

So pretty much everyone in class today was pumped up from watching the Regionals all weekend long. Everyone felt pretty tough when starting out, but that quickly faded when we realized we were FAR from where those athletes compete at, LOL. But it did seem we all pushed a little harder today as a result though, which is a good thing!

Rainbow Chard w/ Pine Nuts, Parm & Basil
So dinner tonight was a fresh caught John Dory fillet that we spice rubbed. Yum! and as a side dish, as promised, is Rainbow Chard w/ Pine nuts, parmigiano and basil. If you’re like me, pre-Primal, I would indulge in a heaping plate of pesto pasta. It was one of my favorite flavors. So today starts my 3 day a week program (M-W-F) and I entered the box today to find out that we will be practicing “Murph” off and on the next couple of weeks in order to do it on Memorial Day in honor of Murph.
