So pretty much everyone in class today was pumped up from watching the Regionals all weekend long.  Everyone felt pretty tough when starting out, but that quickly faded when we realized we were FAR from where those athletes compete at, LOL.  But it did seem we all pushed a little harder today as a result though, which is a good thing!

Warm UP

  • 5 min jump rope
  • 5 air wall ball squats everytime you messed up jumping

Strength

  • Tempo High Bar Back Squat
  • 5 reps per round with 5 sec pause @ bottom of squat
  • 7 rounds  (I used 40 pounds - a new high for me!)

WOD

  • “KAREN”
  • 150 wall balls
  • 10 minute cap

Karen was H-A-R-D.  I thought it was going to more of a muscle fatiguing type of workout, but no, it was hard core cardio on top of muscle fatigue!! I was moved up from a 5 pound ball to a 10 pound ball - yay? So I only completed 80 wall balls in the 10 min cap. Well, that’s a start and a good number to beat the next time this comes around!
