Ugh. I swear for the last 2 weeks straight every WOD has burpees in it. Will I ever get a break??? Anywhoo, here was tonight’s workout.
- 3 Max Rep Deadlift
I was so excited because I moved up 20 pounds! Woot-Woot! 75 pounds today and with good form!
- 10 deadlifts (@75% max - so I used 55 pounds)
- 15 burpees
- 20 walking lunges
- 3 rounds - 10 minute cap
I really wasn’t sure how I was going to do on this WOD, but I completed 2+21 which means 2 full rounds and I got through 10 deadlifts and 11 burpees on round 3. If I’d had another minute I probably would’ve finished.
It was a tiring workout and we still had a finisher!
Hand Stand Push-Up Progression
So we learned a progression of moves that will build up to doing full hand-stand push ups. I went a step before doing a handstand against a wall. I still need to build some upper body strength to hold myself up and more core strength to hold my body straight. Coach said maybe another month and I’ll be able to hold a handstand against the wall fine. Yay! Something else to work towards, along with double unders, strick pull-ups and standard push-ups, LOL.
