Nice Wednesday night workout! Team Relay - first one I’ve done, so it was fun!
- 3 stop snatch pull
- Overhead squats
- snatch balance
- push jerk
- full snatch
- full clean and jerk
- Randy and Grace Relay Race (teams of 2)
- 38 snatches
- 400m run
- 15 clean and jerks
- 400m run
- 15 minute cap per person
- 30 minute cap per team
So I used a 25 pound barbell, no added weights. I was teamed up with the other girl in the class and we rocked it! Each person does the full workout before the other can start, so I offered to go first as I like to just get things over with, LOL.
Snatches felt good, especially since I went to that Oly class on Saturday and we worked on our snatch for an hour. 38 is alot of them, I must say. I was very tired. When I finished those and went to run, my legs kind of gave out, LOL, and I almost walked into a wall! Oh geez, those snatches kill your legs and then you gotta go run. Not as bad as after the prowler, but pretty bad. So the first half of the run was me just praying my legs wouldn’t give out from underneath me, LOL.
Then got back in and did my clean and jerks. I hadn’t done the full move before, so Coach just had me do them from the hang position. So I busted out my 15 and headed out for the final run! At least this time my legs weren’t so jelly. My time was 12:02 and then my partner started her round.
Total Team Time: 24:07 beating out the boys team (my hubby and another guy) who scored 25:08. Woot-Woot!
